wheres my boost?

hey guys i had my car parked for the past week....today when i went to drive it, it was runnign fine from vancouver to richmond. on my break i went to drive it again and the boost was GONE...the boost gauge is reeeally low too and as i gas its topping out at the midline mark. i have like NO POWER left in the damn thing lol any ideas of what the hell could be going on? i never had any other problems before this? im not sure if this is enough info to figure anything out but if im leaving something out that would help let me know.....i drive a 96 eclipse  spyder GST btw.

Look at it, make sure it's still on the turbo properly.

Sometimes the cotter pin that is holding the wastegate arm falls off.

u can also hook up a pump to the wasgate, and pmp up to aroudn 1-013 psi, and around that is when the wastgate should start to open

i checked out the wastegate arm and its attached fine....but there is a loud ticking noise that sounds a lot like rocks being spun around in there. its coming from around the turbo area plus no boost...any new ideas of what it could be?

ok well if thats what its sounding like time to get some info.....best upgrade and prices? lol anythign else id have to change by putting in a bigger one? and please dont tell me its gonna cost me crazy amounts  :? haha

Now hold on a second here.  All these so called "experts" giving Tony advice sure are quick to tell him to get a new turbo.  Way to ask the guy ZERO questions about the symptoms before making a diagnosis :roll: .  Inspect it fully before you invest $1000 for no good reason.   I agree with Nathan; take off the intake pipe and visually check if the wheel spins freely.  When do you hear this ticking noise (eg.  When it's idling? At full boost?)?  It sounds highly irregular for a turbo to work fine and just stop without any signs of failure so it doesn't sound like it just broke.  Check it out before you dump a lot of money into it.

Jess, Ivan and James, what makes you guys give a diagnosis like his turbo is "going" with so little information?  Also, since it's "going", what constitutes as "going"?  Is his center cartridge seized?  Is he out of boost fluid?
