With your mods, I would suggest turning down the boost.  Not only will you be saving your car but it will be faster as well.  If you don't have the fuel to back up that much boost you're just getting your timing pulled from the knock and trust me, with no fuel mods done and 1.3 bar of boost, you're knocking.

Buy some c-16, and call him out to the Mission street legals.   You win, your car doesn't blow up, and nobody does anything stupid on the street.

Oh, and you'll have the timeslip to show all his friends....

well technically i have had it set a 1 bar but i think its creeping to 1.3..ive tried to set back but it keeps going to 1.2-1.3 and then in second gear it goes to 1 bar

Set it to 1 bar and you will walk all over him.

My talon stock running 15psi on a T25 beat a 2000 4.6L Mustang with 3.73 gears and full exaust.

Beat him 4 times in a row.

Hahaha, when I lived in Calgary the guy a couple doors down had a 2.3 musting, with 2.3 badges on the door and no exhaust.  It was funny.

I shouldn't talk tho, my first car was a Taurus with that motor and a 3 speed auto   8)

that year is actually one of the slowest of the 302 powered GT's.

Its just a Tbird engine.  It WAS the best handling V8 Mustang to date, but down in power compared to the other ones.

I think BONE STOCK and well driven an AWD 5spd DSM should take it easily.
91 Eagle Talon TSi 5spd awd.  GT-12, TriFlow Cams, 850s, Tial, JIC, Jackal, sticky rubber.
86 Merkur XR4Ti 5spd, rwd, turbo, 91,381km.  Original paint, heated leather. intercooled, big VAM, Full 3" exhaust, Cossie sway bar, 16" tires.
06 Mazdaspeed6 6spd awd, DISI turbo, heated leather HIDs, Corksport, Cobb, Konig, Centric...
2018 VW Golf Alltrack turbo Tornado Red, 6mt, some free mods

I guess I should add a dissenting opinion.  (Just to be contrary.)

IF you buddy has a good understanding of Mustangs, has upped his timing a bit, and is running a CAI you are toast. :)

There's a LOT of little, cheap mods (just like a DSM) to get a Mustang running very quick for very cheap.  My brother-in-law just sold his 5.0 and it wasn't my Talon fast, but it would kill a stock-ish DSM.

Of course the Mustangs that are modified well are few and far between (just like DSMs). ;)

BTW: Take it to the track.
