No. It is a whole new generation of car. Not related to our DSMs.

Sure it's related to our car.  It still uses the 4G63.  The engine however has a different orientation.  Evo 1-3 parts will fit a DSM, Evo IV onwards was flipped around.

sorry. I meant the turbo specifically, not the car.

If the engine is flipped, the turbo is totally different.

No.

Hey man, any turbo can fit any car. It just depends on how much work you're willing to do (or how much money you're willing to spend).

I've always wondered how much work it would be to drop in an Evo 8 engine swap into a DSM I mean your tranny would line up so you'd have no problems there and if you used an Evo 8 ecu and wiring harness it may be do able with lengthend coolent hosed fuel lines battery cable stuff like that.  Wonder if its been done yet?

Your tranny would not line up.  Since the engine is rotated 180 degrees, so is the tranny mounting point.

There's no point in doing an engine swap, seeing as how you have the same base to start from, if you were going to do any mods beyond stock for the EVO engine, you'd have to do the same thing you'd do with your engine.

Sure there's a point - having the only Evo 8 powered DSM!

How about swapping an EVO 4+ engine into a 2G NT?  Wouldn't that fit?  I believe the 2G NT has their engine mounts opposite from the 2G turbo.

Too bad the engine mounts are for a totally different engine.

EVO 8: http://www.stealth316.com/images/td05hr-16g6-raw.gif

Meh, the 8 is better, but not worth the trouble considering both turbo's are childrens toys.

why wouldn't your tranny line up the bottom end is the same 4G63 is it not? Therefore it should line up I was under the impression that the head was flipped but the bottom end is the same...
