What MAf/ECU came in turbo 1G auto's

1G tsi turbo automatic came with 4g63t w/13g/390 inj. does anyone know if it used the same 2.0 maf and ecu that came on the 14b powered cars and can you use auto ecu in manual car? (i would'nt think so but can't hurt to ask). Thanks

They used the same Maf and no about the ECU.

I disagree with Matt

I have a 5 spd ECU in my car and it doesn't know the difference.
It plugged in fine and cranked over first try

Running larger injectors you'd need an AFC or something similar to turn back injector duty cycle MORE than a 5 spd

Come to think of it I wonder if a heavily hacked MAS would idle better with a A/T ECU

I've often wondered about the injector thing too. See the autos use 390's and the sticks use 450s.  

But the injectors are rated at that flow at 43.5(??) psi fuel pressure and the stock 5spd regulator is 38(??)  Now the auto regulator is 44 or 46?  So, the 450s aint flowin 450, and the 390's are flowing more than 390.  Its GOTTA be pretty close.

Or am I missing something again?

As for the maf, I think they are the same.

I was told that the reason for the smaller turbo/inj. combo was that mitsubishi wanted to prolong the life of the auto tranny. the torque curve on a 14b compared to a 13g is allot more.

what about using a 4g63t auto ecu in a 4g61t 5spd. same inj. similar turbo (TDO4), but 1.6 instead of 2.0. I know allot of 1.6 guys run 2.0 maf and ecu/inj. combo but with a 14b. i wanna stick with the TDO4/390inj. and see how far i can push it. and im suspecting that if indeed you can use an auto ecu in a 5spd that it would be a good upgrade.
should'nt the auto 13g ecu have more agressive fuel and timing maps compared to the stock 1.6 11b ecu?
