help needed with Wastegate solenoid
« on: December 22, 2004, 07:38:31 pm »
Hey,

I am pulling a p1104 code (wastegate solenoid malfunction)
Can someone point out where this solenoid is?? a picture would be great or a quick explanation of where it is???

I am confused with all the solenoids on  the car....I replaced one solenoid so far however I am thinking it is the wrong one.

thanks so much.

Right by the airfilter, 2 black vacuum lines going to it.  One goes into the bottum, one the side, and the wires go into the other side.

The solenoid I think it is and that I changed is the one below the air filter.
2 vacuum lines and one of the lines goes to the air breather and the other goes to a "T" fitting and up to the wastegate actuator and to the turbo ...

That sound right?
