BCDSM Meet Sunday January 9th - Ideas
« on: December 13, 2004, 11:58:38 am »
Looking for some ideas for a meet.

I was thinking simple, sheltered, and inexpensive since after Christmas, many of us will be broke but may also have nice toys to show off from Santa.

My idea was pretty simple;
1) Meet in "Silver City Metropolis" underground parking lot very bottom left one - it is always empty, well lit, and sheltered. We need not worry about the weather there. (January generally sux)
2) Grab lunch at Uncle Willies - It is cheap - about $9 for all you can eat buffet, it is in Metrotown's zone and it has large seating availability. We can sit there as long as we like to BS, and eat whatever - whenever.
3) Cruise somewhere OR maybe just catch a matinee at SilverCity (weather depending)

Like I said - ANY ideas are welcome.

January and February are difficult due to the potential for terrible weather.

Anytime I park at Metrotown, I park on the rooftop of Station Square--farther away but safer, and no time limit.

I can see this thread going on for 15 pages if the mods dont make up our minds.

I think most guys like a meet-cruise-eat scenario. Lets keep it simple. And, as John said, maybe a langley area for the valley guys.

Also, maybe for people signing up, make a note if you'll show up rain or shine, no rain, whatever. Nice to know when you see 20+ people signed up, arrive in the parking lot, and theres only 6 cars, maybe to due inclimate weather.

My goal for January is;
Simple.
Cheap.
Weather neutral.
Central.

I understand we have members in Abby, Langley, Mission and the whack.

When a few of us talked over Sushi last time we were discussing meeting at the the Collossus @ 200th & #1 - eating upstairs there and taking a cruise or a movie depending on how bad the weather is.

If someone has any other ideas in mind, (with some level of detail) please post it.

Otherwise I'll toss a vote up between Metrotown or Collossus as a starting point and plan the meet from the results after that.

I want to have the whole meet posted by the 20th so everyone attending has time to work the day into thier schedule.

The Pod (the restaurant upstairs of collosus) is kinda pricy. If your looking for sushi, i can make a very high reccomendation. Just west of Collusus, in Fort Langley, there's a sushi place called Sushi Ichi, and it's the best sushi i've had anywhere. (and i love sushi) Pretty cheap too.

9145 Glover Road
Fort Langley
V1M 2S3
(Beside the Community Hall)

bout 5 min from Collosus, however, parking might be an issue for 30+ cars (i'd reccomend to takeover the IGA parking lot just down the road)
