49179-52020 turbo???? What kinda turbo is it???

I was wondering if this was an 18g turbo or a 20g turbo?? i juss got this turbo bout a month ago and i've heard that it wuz either an 18g or 20g, juss wanted to b sure no what kind it was. on the cover it has the mitsubishi symbol then 49179-52020.

Measure the compressor wheel will give you a better idea.  I believe that housing is used in 18 and 20g's, and maybe more hybrid turbos.

the part number is for the comp cover only.

that cover is one of  our favorites for fitment and flow

It's very common on Greddy turbos (18g's )

We use it on gt30's and 20g's

No, the problem is it gives me a fucking headache.  We learn the english langauge to use it, not to have it as a historical reference.  I usually delete posts like that indiscriminately, but I've been studying for finals so I haven't been around and missed this one.  Nick seems to understand not to do that anymore, so I'll let this one slide
