Look for G6 stamped on the head near the CAS.  If it's not a G6, it'll say 2.0

Don't worry about the differences between a G cast and 2.0 head, they can both be ported the same.

Meaning there is one or two guys around that will do the same type of extreme portwork on a 2.0 as you would see on a G-Cast.  that's not to say the 2.0 is just as good as the g-cast.

Just because you have a G Cast is no reason to flaunt it :P

The G cast is a little thicker and has more material to play with, but the 2.0 can be ported the same amount as the G cast, so you are no longer special Steele :P

Even if you have a g cast and if it could be ported more, are you going to drop $2000 on a porting job to utilize it?  Not many people would.

I guess I'm not many people.....

there is a definate thickness difference between 2.0 and G

I ended up throwing out a 2.0 cast because lance punched a hole in it thinking it was like the G cast that he had done thickness testing on.

MR Meron bailed me out with a replacement G and I've been happy ever since

me neither, but i've got a 2.0 with some extensive port work, not a G cast... g cast is for the hardcore (although i highly double most people will ever use/need that extra porting capability that the gcast has to offer)

Ryan and Ryan you guys have insane cars though.  Most people knife edge their inlet divider and call it a port job I think. 8)

how was it decided which would come with G cast heads? I doubt it was just random, or a factory option, manufactured at a certain time? or?

Time manufactured.  If you're really that interested in acquiring one, I can give you the part number that you can take to Mitsu--but it'll be hella expensive.
