In my opinion.....if it maters lol
as a previous owner and still lover of the s-13 i think the front is unique and untouchable u kno like ( da da da....cant touch this,... uh! ) lol

the paint is perfect for the front, and the kit but i think the stock se spoiler wouldnt hurt.

the rims.....u should look into changing cause they are too small for the car and it doesnt look low, 17, 18 would be nice on that, deep dish :P

thats just my opinion though

tnx

I wouldnt mind a set of deep dish 18's, however Im not gonna put $3000 wheels/tires on a $3000 car :D

This is my winter 240, my summer 240 will have all the nice stuff

im pretty sure jared's intent with this car is to build it up for speed and fun.  i had a 240, RIP, and i LOVED IT, so much that i've had a membership with buysell.ca since it was written off in april '03.  i NEED another one.... 91 240SX LE HATCH AH3-RED preferably

i saw this car in person and its in good shape.  When Jared is done getting his new motor, turbo, and LSD in it, i say race him.  you will see those 180sx-like tailights in front of you.

have fun with it Jared, I know I did.

The headlight assemblies need some polish, and the paint is stupid-trendy (why are you copying the scc s13), but other than that i like it. Get some bigger wheels for christsake ;)

My next project is a s13...

BTW:

Somthing just struck me about this:

Before you go out and buy some "deep dish 18s" for your summer 240, you may want to heed this advice. "Deep dish wheels" are just ordinary rims with huge offsets, like more than +40mm. Putting wheels like that on a 240, you will fuck things up pretty bad. The 240s suspension is designed to take wheels with way smaller offsets. ie. a 7" wide wheel would require a 35mm offset, 8" a 30-32mm offset, 9" a 28-30mm offset.

Ignoring this will result in the tire rubbing the fender, fucked up geometry, etc and trying to fix it with spacers will just make it worse.

Getting descent wheels for a 240, even with the 5-lug conversion, is harder than you'd think. Do some reading first.

Andrew:

It was flat black before I got it and also the reason its flat black is that the whole cost was $20. The body is in bad shape and the previous paint job was "multicoloured." The older hotrods started the flatblack thing, not SCC.

My "dry-season" 240 is gonna have a nice set of 16x7's, deep dish 18's is what someone else suggested and I said I wouldnt mind but thats not my plan

You need pale yellow steel wheels with chrome dog dish hubcaps.  Make it an import rat rod

It looks good though, 'specially for being on a no budget budget.  My Camaro is flat black.

Everyone seems to jump on the "SR20DET is the best thing known to mankind blah blah blah" bandwagon. Personally, I have nothing but respect for someone who travels the route less followed and ends up with a killer car. Good on ya man, your car looks awsome! (great photography by the way)
