Moding help ALL help..where to start!!!!

ok guys i need some help..new to dsm just got a 2G eclipse recently and now starting to do performance mods. I have been to those sites like dsmtuners.com and everything but i need to where to get this stuff and what products is the best.

Where can i get and how much are K&N filters? L&R maybe?
Also what intake is the best to get..injen etc.. short ram? price?

these are goin to be the first couple mods so help me out guys

perhaps i am wrong...

but the best/cheapest for an intake is a gladman pipe ($50), maf adapter (free-$20 at mopac or kinetic or somewhere), and k&n filter that can fit over the adapter (not sure price but u can find a good price at mopac too i think).  and while you're doing your pipe, mr gladman can hack off the dump tube thing.  might as well pick up a boost gauge at mopac while you're at it.
