I'm going to have to go with clockwise (towards the front of the car) and if I understand what your saying, the left side of the piston would be where theres thrust(closest to the firewall) but then again, I could be completely cracked out...little to no sleep will do that to you

Engines OBVIOUSLY turn backwards when you're in reverse.  Think about it.  How else can a car go backwards?  Similar to when your boost gauge is in vacuum, the turbo is actually going backwards.  It's stopped moving when it's at 0 psi/bar of boost and only moving forwards when you're in boost.  Furthermore, it has been mathematically proven that adding large banner style NOS stickers on your windshield decreases drag and lift on a car.  It induces turbulent eddys to add slightly more potential energy to the airflow and make the car faster.  Duh

umm, no, the engine doesn't turn backwards in reverse, it doesn't just stop and start turning the other way, are you kidding? you have to shut it off and send reverse polarity to the starter or something that I don't have enough knowledge about internals to make it turn the other way, the engine always turns the same way, reverse it done through gearing, instead of the collar engaging gears turned by the layshaft for forward movement a standard gear is slid into another stardard type gear (sorry for my poor terminology) which creates a reversed movement to the wheels... or in most newer transmissions there's simply and ilder gear in between the layshaft and the driven gear,  I'm hoping you guys were kidding? if you were be more sarcastic next time... well jovan you got the sarcasm covered but andew needs to work on his.. and so does martin.. after writing this I'm really thinking all 3 of you are dicking around.. oh well.. already written, might aswell post

You guys are horrible

You know back in high school, with the help of my whole marketing class, I once had a buddy of mine convinced that all chicks in nudie mags were really wax sculptures. I let him think that for a whole day. I still rib him about it.

Please everybody, do not ever turn your engine counter-clockwise. Think about the rockers. :?
