umm, no, the engine doesn't turn backwards in reverse, it doesn't just stop and start turning the other way, are you kidding? you have to shut it off and send reverse polarity to the starter or something that I don't have enough knowledge about internals to make it turn the other way, the engine always turns the same way, reverse it done through gearing, instead of the collar engaging gears turned by the layshaft for forward movement a standard gear is slid into another stardard type gear (sorry for my poor terminology) which creates a reversed movement to the wheels... or in most newer transmissions there's simply and ilder gear in between the layshaft and the driven gear, I'm hoping you guys were kidding? if you were be more sarcastic next time... well jovan you got the sarcasm covered but andew needs to work on his.. and so does martin.. after writing this I'm really thinking all 3 of you are dicking around.. oh well.. already written, might aswell post
