car wont go past certain rpm

when im crusing along ill go into second and ill give'er but once i hit like 4k rpm my car starts to shake and ill slowly climb to 5k
but ill be in 4th gear going up a hill and it will start to do it at 2k!
i checked my plugs and one of the plugs porcelain was starting to chip by the electrode and was a little white so i change my plugs and it still does the same thing!
im thinking it its either plug wires ,coil pack or something it the fuel system.
but im not sure
any thing happen to you like this?
anyone have an idea what it might be?

Check ur timming gears. Samething happened to me with mine jumped a tooth

it only does it when my car is under load..
ive checked all my IC pipes and clamps

i think its ur plug wires...i pretty much had the same problem last year and i changed my plug wires and it fixed it...

mine did that as soon as i bought the car. bought some aurora plug wires and now it runs perfect.
