Night Shots

Well since I forgot about the april meet I went out for a one man cruise instead. I tried taking some night time shots, but they didn't turn out as good as I hoped. Think it's time for a camera with better low light settings.

You need a high ISO film or a camera that will do real long exposure times.  I don't know much about cameras though...

That first one looks real good though, even if it's probably not exactly like you intended.  I like how the white wheels are are highlighted.

If I'm correct in assuming that it's digital, I believe you can actually
set an "ISO" speed for "film" on digital to compensate for low light.
Depends on the camera, of course.

And yeah, putting your camera on a tripod and setting it for a longer
exposure time works really well in the dark...

I tried to snap some night shots last with the digital and I just turned the flash off and hoped the camera could compensate properly... well it didn't.  I guess I have to read the instruction manual now, haha.

I love the cloud reflection in the building in the first pic. I don't have Photoshop on this computer, otherwise I'd try and lighten just the car to make it stand out...so purrrrdy...

I've got a Cannon powershot 2.1 megapixel. It doesn't have any fancy settings, just the basic stuff. Almost around 2 years old now.

Oh and the location is somewhere on River Road in Delta :)
