O2 sensor reading
« on: January 16, 2004, 05:04:51 pm »
OK - got my logger, TMO and laptop hooked up.  :D

When they say my O2 reading should be .90v does that mean at each peak of the cycle?
At WOT?
or when just cruising along?

At WOT, my O2 using TMO reads .88v
The peaks when cruising along vary from .82 to .94

Odd thing too, once or twice, when I am cruising along at 2300 or so rpm, my knock will jump from 0 and go to over 30 for one second - then go away (this happened 4 times on a 5 minute - city driving log)

don't tune based on O2 voltage. Use O2 trims.

As for the knock at cruising.  Marty meet phantom knock, phantom knock meet Marty, you guys will become close friends real quick 8)

The .90 volts is at WOT.  It varies a bit from car to car though.    0.1-0.9 while cruising looks good too. You dont want to see long flat spots though unless you are accelerating or decelerating.

Marty read the post in the "techs specs and reviews" about existing support.

The part I quoted is all about tuning.  The TMO one(s) are especially good.

Its a bit at first, but it will really help you.
