Took me about 2 hours went from 220 - 320 - 400 - 600 grit sand papers wet and dry sanding, and a whole hell of a lot of elbow grease.

Dan, the only bad thing is...in about 2 months, you have to do the final polishing all over again...and again...and again.

that actually looks really nice man! And you can always enjoy it more when you do all the work yourself instead of dropping it off somewhere and paying like $50 to get it dipped  :D

yeah man! Getting stuff chrome dipped doesnt cost THAT much money... okay it does... but for some things it aint bad... I guess....

thats funny, I just painted mine a nice gloss black the other day and its holding up quite well so far. Certainly does look better than before

I polished mine a little while ago

it lasted about an hour :P

i just redid my whole interior silver/blue
 
took everything apart..doors console etc etc etc
sanded everything down nice and smooth..blah took me 3 days..putting everything back was a bitch

personally I hate painted interiors, but I must say that silver looks very nice from the pic. very oem-ish!
