I need advice.
« on: November 28, 2003, 01:38:37 pm »
Seeing as Christmas is coming up and Im broke right now Im not going to be buying too much for my car. In the upcoming year I shall be doing much better though. Now this is where you guys come in. I have plotted a path to where I want my car to be in the next year/year and a half. Currently I have 3 inch cat back borla tip exaust, CFDF clutch, K&N FIPK, NGK Iridium plugs and NGK plug wires. What I want is ....

Evo 16g ported with Flapper.
Evo O2 ported.
Evo exaust manifold ported.
1g BOV.
550 cc injectors.
Boost gauge.
Manual boost controller.
Eibach springs.
KYB AGX shocks.

Now do I need this big of injectors for a 16g? Do you think that the flow of all this together would be sufficient? Would I need something done with my intercooler ie(piping or larger IC) Or if anyone has any advice it would be mucho apreciato. Its always good to have a game plan for the next year helps me not spend on stupid things :D

Ohh btw if anyone wants to give me some prices on how much certain things may cost with their experiances purchising any of the above feel free. Thanks.

Hey Matt, not sure if you're 1g or 2g, but my AGX's cost 750 Canadian up from the states, including shipping, and duty ($150 :( )

it helps if you list what year and model your car is.

Anyway if you're a 2g check out tokico illuminas for shocks instead of the AGXs  Lowell had, might still have a smokin deal on them.

Dont jump right into a turbo unless the car is ready, or you blew yours and you need a new one anyway.

assuming it's a 2g, here's some items you should collect first.

GET THIS ABSOLUTELY FIRST
boost gauge

then you can get the rest.
Full Upper Intercooler pipe (~$100-300)
1g bov($30-60)
downpipe($100-400)
boost controller($30-400)
fuel pump re-wire ($10)

then you can decide how far you want to go
i suggest saving for DSMLink right away, it'll help immensly. (~700USD new)
then go with all the turbo stuff.

Don't forget the down-pipe and hi-flow cat either....

Look at this for information on stage 1 upgrades for 2g cars
