Knock sensor faulty. how hard to change?

so i pulled the code on Aarons logger and it says it's my knock sensor. is it hard to change for my car? Where is it?  and where is the best place to pick one up? Thanx

Knock sensor is located between cylinder 2 & 3 on the backside (firewall side) of the block.

It basically looks like a larger bolt with a wire comming out of it.

Not sure how much they cost to replace.  With the help of Lowell, we removed mine completly.

Knock sensor is pretty much an OEM piece.  There are aftermarket knock sensors, but they have their own black box.

You can swap the KS fairly easily.  Disconnect battery. Disconnect the KS connection, its usually on the Intake Manifold brace.  Take out the battery, and you should have enough room to snake your arm in there (along with a stubby wrench) and get it out.  Make sure when you put the new one in that the pigtail turns with the sensor, so you don't damage the wire.........

I have an extra one if you need it it was off the vr4 motor so the wireing did not mach my stock harness.  I dont know if it will work for you.

so i pulled it up on the hoist at work and looked at it. so how many wires are suppost to come out of it? also i called Napa and they said $450 for a new one before my discount  :shock:   that sounds soooo high. Lordco gave me the dumbass look of whats that and couldn't find one. Dealer was buisy.  OEM eh? didn't someone say they had the hook up at there dealership for OEM parts? funds are low right now so i need all the hook ups i can get :(
