Island/Main-land meet

i know this is way in advance but i think we should have a massive meet where the island guys could come over to victoria.....we should have one in spring or summer though when the weather is all nice and good and everyone has all their winter projects done....we should have a huge meet with a huge cruise...like the fraser valley tour on the home page of the site
i think id be cool for the island guys to meet some of the mainland guys and vice versa..i myself haven't met a single bc dsmer from anywhere but the island.....we should plan it way in advance so we can have it all laid out and such....but now is too early to plan it...just kinda got the idea so thought id mention it

What we really need to do is try to find a hookup at BC Ferries to get discount passes. I know two guys but one is just a ramp operator and the other is a cook. I'll ask them but if sombody's uncle or whatever is a captian or somthing it would be cool if they could inquire. I know that the ferries once sold prepaid ticket books. If we could get a book at a discount price it would really improve the odds of getting a good number of people over there.

A trip to the mainland for a cruise/meet will cost each of us island guys at least $100 round-trip. At that price it would be really hard to get a good turnout so we need to try and slash that. So call your uncles and help us out. Besides I owe quite a few beers to mainland guys anyway so I need all the help I can get. :wink:

This is a good post though Michael, We need to plan this EARLY if it's going to work. :thumbs:

I will be at the FVT - '04, although depending on my cars running status  :laugh:. I don't think i will have enough cash for more than one trip.
