Transmission / Transfer Case Combos

After like 6 months, I may have found a pair that may work, but not 100% sure.

5sp AWD Transmission from a 97 TSi, AND a Transfer Case, also from 97, but from an AUTOMATIC car.

I hope there are no differences, or that it's doable.  I just want to drive.

I'm not sure if it's 100% accurate, but VFAQ says it should work:

That says the 2G transfer case is the same between MT and AT.  (But the rear diff ratio is different.)
