Help with oil problem
« on: July 29, 2012, 01:30:13 am »
Well not really a problem but I am heading out to Maple Ridge from Coquitlam 7am tomorrow morning. I just insured my car and started her up and checking the fluids, I saw that the dipstick was dry. I normally put Royal Purple Synethic and I was wondering if it's okay if I can put a bit of the lower quality non-synethic oil at a Chevron station, drive up to Maple Ridge and when LordCo it opens at 9am get the proper oil. I Googled that many people mix oil grades and brands and have no problems at all. I just wanted to check what you guys have you say. Thanks.

Mixed oil is better then no oil but I would do an oil change before a long drive.

yep, any oil, even used oil is better than a dry dipstick.

Change it as soon as you can, but fill it up.

Also find out why its so low
