Electrical Problem
« on: July 23, 2012, 01:12:45 pm »
So I shorted my Alt, and now my headlights sometimes stay on/wont turn off, my seat belt light will be on sometimes regardless of the belt being clicked in, and my dome lights sometimes work lol.  I replaced my alt, alt fuse, headlight relay, and nothing :( any ideas?

if all that is done etc, I suspect you melted either a wire harness or a main connector somewhere.  gonna be hard to pinpoint I suspect.

ahh, if its hot, check the wiring to and from there.  Its drawing lots of power or it wouldn't get so hot

Ill check it out tomorrow, however would a short or melted wire from there cause the seat belt light/domelight problem?
