what Greg said. They do make a bit more power, and they look great, but they crack and make your engine bay really hot.
A ported 2g manifold is great for most cars, and if you need more, then go ahead. That said, I went from a well ported, coated 2g manifold to an FP cast one and it made more power and torque. I wasn't expecting anything really but it was easily noticable.
The main disadvantage of the 1g manifold is that it cracks really easily. Most of them are junk.
You will have to minorly grind off a small part of the outside of the 2g manifold to fit the 1g car, but its easy and quick.
