You don't want the brace too solid.  Just enough to take some weight and dampen the tuning fork effect of the downpipe, while still allowing expansion and contraction.

Not quite sure!! Maybe 10,000 KM 3 years. I wrote the new motor mileage on one of my old insurance forms.
I am confident about topmount manifold....
I just worried about the aluminum head holding the weight , the BWS366 is not light either.
