The only downside to meth is when your pump gives out or you run out of meth at full throttle. Same with water.

same with gasoline.  Or diesel.  or propane.  or engine oil, tranny oil, coolant etc.

maintain your shit, live with failures or walk.  And then do so in bare feet cause shoes can fail too.

if youre missing in 2 cylinders then it could be your power transistor.  but your car will sound like a subaru and back fire like a mofo.

yep, thats a for sure on the plug gap.

And don't use platinums or other "fancy" plugs.

Just NGK BPR7ES, gapped to around 0.30

I struggled with ticking lifters even after I replaced the old stokers with 3g lifters.   In a matter of a week they ticked like a mofo in some spots. I swapped out the certain 3g's that crapped out and it still had a light tick...

I have run the revised lifters from rtm (http://www.rtmracing.com/xcart/product.php?productid=17200&cat=1502&page=1) for a couple of weeks and no ticking.  Where did you get yours from?

I have those Rob, and once in a while I still here one slapping away when cold.  Usually they are fine, but once in a while I hear just one, and its never the same.  And it goes away fully, like a switch being thrown.

Imagine how I felt when I first heard this just after I had finished building my engine...  One lifter sounds hella like a rod knock...

oh its not that bad.  one start in 10 will do this as its warming up, usually just 1 lifter, but sometimes 2.  Its a non issue really other than I like things to be better when they are the new improved parts and brand new

thicker oils will also cause a bit of lifter tick on cold starts... its a trade off..  the thicker oil is great when it reaches op temp...  but it also is a bit thick on cold start ups and has issues getting to the lifters super quickly.

synthetic helps keep them good for a long time and doesn't get so thick in the colder temps.

I didnt think synthetic had anything to do with that, as it too has recommended heat ranges to be used in.
