Whats the approximate travel time from BC Ferries Tsawwassen to BCIT on a Sunday morning? Trying to figure out if it's possible to get to BCIT on time from the first ferry... I'm thinking likely not, with no better chances of catching up later in the drive. I've never driven on the mainland before, either, so I'm completely unfamiliar with everything.

Was thinking it would be neat to come as I may or may not have a DSM at this time next year.

Cam, if all else fails you could always meet at Harrison for lunch and then go for the cruise down Hope slide with everyone. Thats likely my plan if it happens.

You could make it from the ferry to the meet in time... if you knew where you were going.
Trying to learn the lower mainland in a hr won't work.
Good GPS = a decent shot.
Departure bay to horseshoebay would probably be easiest then its a pretty straight shoot to meet up with someone.

Cam, I can always head up with you. I won't be on the cruise portion of the trip so I'll be leaving later.

PM me if you're interested.

Lore: According to BCF, about 8:30. Not thinking I can make it to BCIT by 845... Maybe 9 if I don't get lost but it'd be hard to make up 15 minutes on the road when I don't already know the route well. I'd end up on the Coq!

Ryan: Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to spend ferry fares to come over, I'd like to make the whole meet.

Any other Islanders coming to the meet?

Perhaps an overnight stay is in the cards, I dunno. Must get this figured out.

Hey Cam,

I can meet you at the ferry terminal on the Horse Shoe Bay side and you can follow me to BCIT.  I'll park on the side of the highway that exits from the BC Ferry terminal.  You know my Talon.  Pull in behind the Talon - I'll hand you a StarBuck's and we'll go from there.  BCIT is less than 30 minutes away on a Sunday morning (no horrendous bridge traffic).  If we miss the 8AM BCIT gang, I know enough of the route to catch up.  Sound like a plan?

PM me your phone number and we can hammer on details.

Hopefully, more of the Island Bretheren can make it out too.

Or we could move the meet ahead till 9:30? So cam has enough time to get to the meet spot at bcit??   But it would have to be approved by other members and I guess would move forward all are other times... Might be easier to follow tony or stay overnight.
