o2 housing external wg

when i install this, can i just take the internal wg arm off to allow the flapper to open freely into the external wastegate or should i get it welded open?

Couldn't you just disconnect the WG and wire the arm open?

you could but it is pretty easy to have a bead of weld put on there.

Kidding.  Weld it open.  Just tack it so that if you want later to convert the turbo back to internally gated(for resale or whatever) its easily doable.
