This was the first time doing this particular process compared to Seafoaming. I honestly would go for MCCC again for a deep clean in the future even though its more process oriented than seafoaming. What was interesting was after the piston soak, while changing the oil, I could totally smell the MCCC fumes in the oil - that stuff went down to the oil fast. Cranked the car without plugs to force out any excess fluids, but there wasn't much....either it went through or evaporated.
So completed the whole piston soak and cleaned out with water/alcohol mixture to steam out the intake.
After doing so, I peaked down the cylinder holes to inspect. It was clean enough that I could read the numbers on the pistons ~!! Impressive - at least you know it did something!!.
Changed back to one heat range higher BPR6ES plugs. Lesson learned here. I realized...my car (being stock) was running rich and I was a little ambitious to use BPR7ES...which was a bad choice. Cooler plugs with the super rich conditions combined with a bad o2 probably lead to improper burning - which is probably why there was so many carbon build up. The colder plugs probably wasn't helping the combustion as well. So decided to go back to 6's...
Dumped a whole bottle of injector cleaner into the gas tank.
Now she runs noticeably better. Will have to start monitoring the fuel economy starting next fill up to wait and see. Hope she runs a lot better now..
