I got a bottle of Mopar Combustion Chamber Conditioner today.  At first I got the aerosol can (350ml) which I had a feeling that i may have gotten the wrong one.  So I doubled checked with Brett and I did get the wrong one.  Had to go back to get the liquid bottle (which was 500ml for about the same as the spray can!).  DOH ~!!! Did a Homer on my self and had to go back.

Can wait to use this stuff.

I know this maybe a bit excessive but I am also thinking of doing Seafoaming almost back to back to better deep clean my system since it was pretty bad carbon build up.
I was thinking of doing some Seafoam in the gas and oil (I will probably change the oil to a very cheap oil after MCCC first) and maybe do a second intake clean, then change out to my regular good oil.

Any thoughts?

well, you need the spray can of MCCC, because its hard to get that into the throttle body without the spray.  Unless you have something rigged up?

Ghetto spritz bottle  ;)

But also since the liquid version would make it easier to pour down the cylinders.  Plus its 150ml more for the same price ~

Used a A/F gauge to verified..
I always suspected Sy Wong's idle characteristics were out of whack..
A coolant sensor destroyed my mileage on my Mazda I could sometimes smell the richness.

I believe he is trying to say that its important to verify correct A/F ratio.  He has noticed that when his coolant sensor was bad on his Mazda he got crappy mileage and has suspected Sy Haws for a while.

I think?  :D

Ok.  First part of the MCCC is done.  Soaking overnight.

Man that stuff really started to foul the spark plugs fast.  It turned black pretty good.  Anyways, I noticed something odd...the cylinder that had 160 compression (counting from left to right - 3rd one), had a bit of white smoke coming out after the intake cleaning.  Oddly enough it was the only cylinder that did so, and Darryl was there to witness it also.

I wonder what that could possibly mean... :-[  Hope it isn't anything bad......but don't wanna shrug it off too early...

Anyways...will finish up tomorrow and we will see.

thats normal... when you shut the engine off that cylinder was in a combustion event...

This was the first time doing this particular process compared to Seafoaming.  I honestly would go for MCCC again for a deep clean in the future even though its more process oriented than seafoaming.  What was interesting was after the piston soak, while changing the oil, I could totally smell the MCCC fumes in the oil - that stuff went down to the oil fast.  Cranked the car without plugs to force out any excess fluids, but there wasn't much....either it went through or evaporated.

So completed the whole piston soak and cleaned out with water/alcohol mixture to steam out the intake.

After doing so, I peaked down the cylinder holes to inspect.  It was clean enough that I could read the numbers on the pistons ~!!  Impressive - at least you know it did something!!.

Changed back to one heat range higher BPR6ES plugs.  Lesson learned here.  I realized...my car (being stock) was running rich and I was a little ambitious to use BPR7ES...which was a bad choice.  Cooler plugs with the super rich conditions combined with a bad o2 probably lead to improper burning - which is probably why there was so many carbon build up.  The colder plugs probably wasn't helping the combustion as well.  So decided to go back to 6's...

Dumped a whole bottle of injector cleaner into the gas tank.

Now she runs noticeably better.  Will have to start monitoring the fuel economy starting next fill up to wait and see.  Hope she runs a lot better now..

Thanks John, Jason, Brett,Darryl and other members for your help and advises.  :)

You can add some more timing into your now cleaned combustion chamber..
Better mileage ,,better throttle response..

hahah more boost, then you have to go back to bpr7es...

i dont think having 7's in there would really affect gas mileage that much....something else was causing the crappy mileage.  probably the o2 sensor hopefully.

So far there has been slight improvements, but hard to say how much.  I have yet to fully track it, cause I have to start from a fresh refill, and go back down. Then minus the km on the refill after that.
