Sorry, I couldn't make the 12th, I was in Washington state for a family get-together.

A pre-race gathering on the 20th sounds like a good idea.   We can have a "drain the coolant and put in water/water-wetter" party!

As long as family plans don't throw up obstacles, you can count me in.

I'm in but I don't know what I'll be driving... I want to take the Talon but it seems I'm short on money and the Laser is the only car with plates right now because I don't want to be paying for two sets and there's no way i'll sell the Laser when it's uninsured and no one can test drive it...  I was considering a day permit for the Talon but that's $28, or $32, then $20 to race plus an easy $10 in gas and it makes for a pretty expensive outing...

Maybe it's for the better that I don't race anyways... considering I can't lauch worth a hoot... mind you, I've only tried about 4 times in the 2 days I drove the car on temp permits... I can chirp the tires, then bog it out then go from there

while not gifted per se, I will put my experience to use for ya :)

What I want you to do before saturday(think of it as homework that you will enjoy doing) is go thru the VFAQ completely, the tech tips over at Roadrace Engineering, the tuning guide at DSMTuners.com, and read all the links that I put up in Travis Merrick's post.

Then when I ask you a technical question or tell you to do something you will be able to.

Not being a dick head here, its just a really good way to learn.  Believe me, we all started with a big  ol     on our faces, with a few    to follow, but with good research and some good ol help, you will be doing fine.
