get a 4g64 bottom end destroke with an 88mm, crank, 10-1 pstions, then put a ported Exhaust sided non turbo head. and keep stock injector sizing and toss in a 2nd rail for 850s of meth and under boost only run meth. you will have a 11-1 bad ass super spool meth car :)

seems bad ass. is would still be a 2L destroke is 2.1 and the non trubo little head takes about .1L off.

just a random ramble. after seeing what the 4g is going in to i could help but think of the most random bad ass 4g set up to go in it.

current plan is. wide block 4g64 six bolt. stock single over head cam pistons, 1.8l twin cam head(smallest chamber with the larger size porting), that all bolts togeather with like 11 or 12:1 compression ratio. i already got a set of throttle bodys from a gsxr, with 8 injectors. run a turbo ecu, with the knock sensor, ecmlink. hard part is going to be cams, and if the pistons are going to last. its a lot of stuff to plan out and tune.

i think im going to pick the head and block from pickapart next week.

no, he has no aftermarket pistons, not a regular N/T head as he specs a 1.8l head and no destroking.

I would think that 12:1 will be a bit much on pump gas, but hey it might work out.

Let me know when you need cams, I can get a set made up, when you have the compression ratio etc all actually done and set in stone.

A stock pistioned 4g64 will not put out 12-1 with a 1.8 head. Unless other wise stated, " on that note no fucking way." 10-1 with the 1.8 head would be a questionable valve hit with a  they don't make unless costom order. No one runs 11-1 There's a resion. Call Marco...

But nice try John

wow Zach, for all your hate about it, you sound like Mike  :)

Good point on valve to piston contact tho.

zach, the trucks need a "wide block" 4g6x engine.  the normal dsm/hyundai blocks will not bolt up.  the bolt spacing is wider for the tranny bolts i believe.

iv seen a couple builds in the past useing a stock 2.4l bottem end (8v pistons) with a 47cc chamber turbo head.  thats said to be like 11:1. i dont think the valves sit eny lower with the 43cc 1.8l head. i cant realy work it all out untill i got all the bits sitting in front of me.

i plan on using a rx7 turbo2 trans, with a 87/88 b2600 bellhouseing. this bolts up to the wideblock 4g6x blocks (thoes years of b2600 came with the  g54b/4g54, aka starion motor). wideblocks come in trucks, and i heard that the vans are also wide block, but im not 100% on that.

Yeah the valves do not sit any lower in the 4g67 (1.8L) DOHC cam.

only problem with the 8 valve pistons... is i dont think they have reliefs in them for the 4 valves per cylinder like the 16V pistons do.
