Daytime Running Lights
« on: October 30, 2010, 12:46:52 pm »
When I was driving Home last night, I noticed that my Daytime running lights stopped working. I am positive that they worked earlier in the week. My headlights do come on when I turn on my low beam, its just that the DRLs aren't working anymore.

Anybody know how to fix it?

2g's drl module is on the left front(driver side) underneath the bumper right beside the a/c accumulator. U don't really need it unless u go for vehicle inspection.  Most people disconnect them anyways. Mine is also disconnected, I just turn my marker lights on if want drl.

But I thought its illegal to not have DRLs, can you get a ticket for not having them?

yes you can and it won't pass a safety or VI if you get one of those.

Also, because it was supposed to work and now it doesn't, something is on the fritz.  This may just be a symptom, so it pays to find out what is wrong.

check the fuse to make sure its not blown, if your fuse is gone you got a short in the circuit, also try putting in different bulbs as a quick check to make sure it not the bulbs
