Those of you guys who live in a nice house with access to a garage.  Consider yourselves very fortunate.

Here is a pic of my new IN SUITE storage for my tools.  I will have to lug this crap down 14 floors to somewhere to work on my car in the future.

Move out to the valley.  Sell your apartment and buy a house with a garage, a yard, no traffic, cheap taxes, no drive-by shootings etc.  Probably sell your 500ft apartment for more money than you could buy the house for too.

Course you would need to get your job to move out here too, but hey

Man, that's brutal.  Like John said, move out here.  My sister lives in a 500 sqft apartment in downtown Vancouver too.  I couldn't do it.  My wife and I want to move because we want more room and we've got almost 3 times the living space, more backyard than you have total space and a 2 car garage.  We also park 4 cars at the moment and I want more room for guest parking and when I bring a trailer home from the shop.  This is all probably worth half what your place is too.  Ridiculous

hehehe, yea my new place has honest parking for 8.  Eight cars.  We could probably park 10 in a pinch.  All on pavement, on my property, legally and easily.

Everything's a tradeoff... your apartment might be close to your work (no time wasted on the rush hour freeway and less stress) and close to the ocean (seawall walks and downtown culture).  Priorities... decisions... choices... compromises... what's most important to you?  Unless you're rich, you can't have it all...
