Okay, so heres the deal.  I phoned TBC again today.

We cannot make a reservation for public karting untill 2 days before the day we will be karting, so the earliest we can "reserve" for our group is friday the 10th.

Also the guy on the phone said that some group has rented the track out for 2 hours from 12:00 - 2pm on the 12th so it will be closed to the public at that time and it will not be possible for any public racers to race in that time slot.

So as long as there is no more group track rentals we will be able to start karting at 2pm.  This means that the 12:00 meet at wally burger will be a tad early so we may have to re-schedule the meet time for lunch.  How many people are planning at meeting at wally burger anyways?

unfortunalty if another group rents the track out for themselves which they can totally do then it we will not be able to kart at all untill they are done.  If this occurs more then likley we will go for a cruise and take some pictures instead of cart racing as remi suggested,

so i will phone TBC again on the 10th and reserve for 8-10 people if the track is still free for public,

Im just wondering if there will be only 8 people or if anyone will be bringing anyone else with them that wll be participating

Brett...if you can only reserve the track 2 days before the 12th,

How come the track is already reserved from 12-2pm  ??? on that day....

What is wrong with having lunch at noon, that way if some people come late they came still meet up with the group
and we do not have to rush lunch and can visit for awhile

How long does it take to drive to Richmond after lunch...anyway.

I am bringing 4 people....if we reserve the track we can't use our coupons til after the reservation is over......

Lori, i think you just misunderstood what i was trying to say....

There are two different kinds of Bookings at TBC.

One is you can "rent" the track out for your own personal use.  There is NO public access to the track at this time and it is only availible to the group who rented/booked the track.  This is the $400 per 30 minutes option what we did not go with that i mentioned earlier this week.  You couldn't use the coupons you have during this time if we did book it, that is why we cannot go with this option anymore, also it is too much effort and try and collect all the money and such and come up with a downpayment/deposit to be able to do it anyways.  THis is what the group did to be able to have the track closed to us, and the public during the 12-2pm time slot on the 12th.

Then there are "reservations", which i am referring to in the previous post where you will be guarenteed track time if you do so, but there will also be other public that will be allowed to also race with the resereved people in a first come first serve basis.  But again, this can all be worth nothing if there is a group that books the track from 2pm + before the 10th of september.  I am hoping there will be no more groups booking the track on the 12th so we can have time to be able do some races...again there is no way for us to stop this from happening unless we booked it outselves and paid the $400 per 30 minute rates.

and as far as changing the meeting time at wally burger...  it still might happen, but i have to figure out how much time it will take to drive from wally's to TBC and such.  Maybe Sy Haw could pipe in here as he knows where wally burger is and how long it might take to drive from there to TBC.  If it takes lets say 20-30 minutes to drive from wally burger i doubt everyone will want to sit at the burger joint for a hour and a half considering we can no longer start racing till 2pm anyways (tentitivly, could be even later if another group books)..  I would rather start the lunch meet closer to 12:30 - 12:45 so then we are not sitting around doing nothing for a hour and a half or whatever...

let me know if it needs more clarification.

Brett its not far.

About 20min drive maybe in a group.  Its about 3.1km distance to the location from Wally's.  I would say meet up, spend 30min to grab a bite and then head over to TBC.

Heres a map.

that is correct.

Unless there is another group that rents the track out for that timeslot.  I will know by friday is this happens or not as that is the earliest i can make our reservation.
