Replacing the dimmer switch do I just pull it off and put another one?

After market ones are always prone to failure I find.
Could be a bad ground.
Ive seen alot of poor installations of those.

Check the dimmer, pop it out, make sure the red positive ( could be a diff colour coming from the gauges ) is still connected.
Then find the guages black ground wire, make sure its still grounded some where.

If no dice = bad dimmer or gauges = dead

if you have power going into the dimmer, but not out, theres your problemo.

 i found if u give em a few wacks with something sometimes they flicker back to life...  good way to confirm if it is indeed the dimmer.

So I hit them this morning and now they are working....

Yepp I'll replace the dimmer thingy this weekend and set the needle for the speedo properly. Hopefully that'll fix it
