The GT's new kicks
« on: March 14, 2010, 10:13:27 pm »
Found these wheels through a guy a I know off some forums.  I ended up getting them for a good deal with the yokohama tires. (50% tread about maybe)

They had "ENKEI" and "RALLIART" stickers covinger up the original O.Z. Racing logos that are painted onto the wheels.

I scooped them up and cleaned the shit out of them.

Here is how they looked when I first picked them up.

Then I used the pressure washer and a bit with a razer blade to clean all the old stickers off.  LOOK WHAT I FOUND lol.

There was still a stained residue left over from the OLD OLD stickers.  I carfully scraped the remainder of crap off them and got them looking pretty decent actyally!  I was surprized what some elbow grease and a pressure washer can do! Couldn't have done with without this badboy!

Here is my weapon of choice for today to install these new goodies on!

and drumroll plz.........................

I think they will look even better on my Lancer Evo GSR.

yeah it cleaned the look of the car up BIG time.  its a whole different car now.

It also handles alot better.  not so top heavy feeling anymore.  Feels much more planted to the road... and plus the direction rain tires (yoko's) help with the wet weather driving.. before it was hydroplanning like CRAZY.. now hardly at all!

And plus these will fit on my evo,,, which is what car they came off of originally anyways. (a black one from surrey)

These were the rims that the WRC rally teams use for there Tarmac stages of racing in the early/mid 90's.

The mitsu diamonds are stickers.  They were all coming off except for one wheel... so i left it on.

They look cool tho!  i might get new little mitsu stickers and put them back on the other three wheels.
