It wasn't really any softer Cam. Kept sliding through corners & hitting the boulders at the edge of the goat-paths; knocked my alignment out. At least with my new front springs I wasn't constantly bashing bottom.

Surprisingly, one of the civics was layin' a can of whup-ass on me,  :'( despite them having pavement tires & only FWD. The turns were super-tight, and I could not get my car to wag-ass around. Finally figured how to e-brake a U-turn, but still end up losing time as I have to de-clutch to make it work.

Have you tried the "finnish rally turn", quick oposite flick of the wheel to use pendulum effect to initiate the oversteer slide? I'm sure it's harder than the incar vids show but you've got the perfect venue to learn it.

I can get that on the faster sweeps, but on many of these corners, there simply isn't enough speed. I have even de-coupled my front anti-sway bar to get extra over-steer (works great on the Bamfield commute tho' ;D).

I think there's only about 4 or 5 of us on the forum that would actually take our cars out into shit like that.

Yeah thats about it.

 And for the record with the front sway bar disconnected and on a loose gravel surface these cars slide *very* well. The natural understeer is great when you have them sideways because they don't want to swing around to far so its' fairly easy to hold after it breaks loose.
