so beacuse of the bigger deck hight on the g4cs block...  what timing belt did you use??  4g64 DOHC one??

also what cam gears are those???

I remember phil telling me that you have to set the cam gears because if they are 4g63 ones the timing wont be right if they are zero'ed out with a real 2.4L block...

Looking sweet man!!  this car is a wicked build!!! keep the progress reports comin!

Yes it is the DOHC 1994 Galant belt. The cam gears are Fidanza adjustables. The timing marks don't quite line up. but thats ok as I degreed them anyway.

yeah if they are 4g63 fidanza gears they wont line up properly with the 4g64 block in there...

you can just mark or file "new" marks into the gears to make the timing marks in the right place again.

good to see that you did it properly with a degree wheel and all!

Yeah, it was cool to play with a degree wheel for the first time. Anyway another update is due.

The dirty girl runs!

Here are some short videos of it running.

There are still many things to tidy up, but it will be going for its first test run Saturday morning.

Took some pics today of how the engine bay currently looks. Been slowly tidying up the wiring from the latest installs, but still have a ways to go. Might be relocating the meth setup to the trunk area. I know the shorter tubing is better, but I really don't like it in the engine bay.
