thanks John! i still haven't made up my mind about if i like 1g's or 2g's better. i love mine cuz it's round and smooth with really clean lines. but i like the whole heritage thing of 1g's

when i was looking for local performance parts for my 2g i noticed that almost everyone had only 95-99 parts. not a big selection on 1g parts

with a 1g you don't buy parts the same way.

You do research, have custom parts made, make your own, or buy from smaller known good shops.

Its part of what makes a fast 1g a cool thing.

Anyone can hand thier visa card to a clerk with a Honda or a Supra etc, but with a 1g, for the most part, its about the owners commitment and skill.

very good point. a done up 1g would be more respected because of the rarity or the parts. when i was looking for an AWD i didn't know as much back then and the one i bought came with the Eclipse kit already done, which i wanted to do anyways. and i'll always have the amazing pics of my 2g which will bring back fantastic memories. but i wouldn't mind picking up a 1g and putting out around 250-280hp. it'd be a great project and i'd definitely learn a lot in the process. i just need to sell my 2g so i can pay off my Visa and get started on a 1g

Yup Frank at top end got it after it got writeen off. Think it got scrapped for parts after that or maybe he rebuilt it? not sure.
