its most likely just a led that he moved in whatever pattern he wanted, and just set his camera to a LONG Shutter speed, so the shutter stayed open long enough he could capture the light movement. Its a Very neat effect with like traffic driving by, Example:

1992 White Talon TSi AWD. - Big Evo III 16 Turbo, 2G Manifold, 255 Walbro, FPR, Centerforce Dual Clutch.

Yeah exactly :)

I have a blue led flashlight, figured i'd trace some of the lines of the car. It's not a new idea, but it's fun to do. All you need to do is be able to take a long exposure shot in low light, and then trace whatever with the light.

In this case they were 20-30 second exposures

Because with that high a shutter speed you're not standing still long enough to show up as more than a ghost on the image. I actually had to move fairly slowly. Take 30 seconds to walk from the front to the back of your car - it's not fast.

I just got myself a Sigma SD-14 - I've used Nikon in the past thou and am a big fan.

As for exposure times Shane, you need at least 10 seconds or more to do the light graffiti, so you have to shoot in conditions that are dark enough that 10 seconds isn't going to overexpose the image. Those pictures were taken at 3am in heavy fog with only a few street lights around, and they're still pretty blown out.

Also you need a good tripod. You can see from the third picture in mine, my tripod actually moves sometimes and ruins the image.

Naw, I just don't sleep much, and am a Night owl to add to that.

Me being out at 3am is not uncommon, at all.
