I might be looking at one of these for an incoming family and better room.

What kinda mileage do you get from this?

And about what price did you pay?

About 550-600km's per tank mostly driving in the city. I spend my Monday-Friday at BCIT and I live in Langley and take the #1 all the way to school and back (stop go traffic the entire way).

I picked this one up for about $500 more then what the trade in value was. He was just going to trade it in for the new A4. They normally go in the range of 17,000-22,000 depending. I found it completely stock, fully loaded, very low km's, one owner, full dealer service history, with one accident back in 2005. It needs a little work (t-belt change and steering rack) easy and relatively cheap if i do the work myself.

And with the few mods i added its perfect.

If anything i added a little more driveability.

These cars are gutless when stock. 170hp/tq. Now shes up in the 235hp 290tq area.

Not to bad for a little 1.8t with a computer fan for a turbo

Nice!  Love it.  So many mods already!  :)

My sister has an '03 1.8T Avant (silver as well)... on factory sport suspension still but drives and handles so nice!

Been eyeing '05-'06 S4 Avants's as a daily driver... so maybe I'll join you soon... once I figure out how this'll all work with my upcoming first mortgage. ack.

Anyway, congrats!

I love those s4 avants...  Theres one by my house I drive by everyday.  So nice.  Heard they are a monstrous pain in the ass to work on though; i.e. pull the motor to do timing belt, water pump etc...  That said, if I could afford it I'd prolly get one.

nice car for sure.  If its getting that much better mileage than your Talon, something was wrong with the Talon.  I can go 475-550k to a tank in my red car and its making pretty good power ;)  And thats gauranteed a smaller tank than the Audi.

Not dissin your ride, its very nice and much nicer to ride in than most DSM's, but the mileage thing don't cut it  ;)

if you are actually putting out 290ft/lbs to the wheels thats amazing for a 1.8 with those few mods.

With all do respect, what is the big deal with these Audis? is it because they are turbo so more power potential??

very well built, awd, 5 or 6 spd, 5valve turbo engine, very sophisticated suspension, big brakes, much more modern awd system, and the bling big shot styling/name.

if you want an awd car, you have few choices for a sort of decent price.
