Borrowed my buddies Cavalier...
« on: July 11, 2008, 07:34:10 pm »
Borrowed my buddies cavalier to go meet the flatdeck at my car because my clutch was gone...and during rush hour traffic, I get Tboned by a red light runner...all witnesses say he ran a solid red, and iv talked to ICBC etc, basically other guy 100% at fault...but wrote off my buddies cavalier...SO R.I.P to one of the nicer cavalier around...full header back, no cat straight piped 2.5 inch stainless exhaust, cold air intake, lowered with megan springs , 18 inch rims with 35 series rubber...2.4 litre Z24 with 115,xxx km R.I.P.....I feel bad, but hes getting around 8 grand for the car..

on the flip side...my buddie is going to be the proud new owner of a DSM...1992 Laser RS AWD, bone stock with 146,xxx km. I will get him on here and hopefully we get a local island meet happenin in the next couple months, hes stoked, he loves my car and is itchin to get the laser home.

R.I.P 2001 Z24 Cavalier - Tboned by a 2008 Pontiac Vibe, driven by the elderly.

You okay Shane?
Same thing happened to me about a year ago....just finished a restoration on a car that I was working on for a long time, had it on the road for about two weeks. Got T-Boned by a lady from California. Pealed my fender back like a banana peel, spun my car around and it laid to rest beside a lamp post.
The frame was so twisted there was nothing that could really be done except crush.

Sorry to hear about the accident Shane.  Hope you are ok.

You got to be careful driving in traffic these days.  Lately I have been running into a lot of a$%#*s out there.  Just totally feeling the crazies out there on the road lately.   :-\

Its kind of funny to visualize the guy.....but in all seriousness, glad you're ok.  And if anything your buddy should be thanking you.  No way he would get 8 grand from that car in a private sale, and now he owns a much faster, much cooler dsm.
