I would say it is IF you do all the preventative maintenance, and keep it running well. But its a very nice lookin' car for sure! :)

Yes, you do now own a car that requires a lot of maintenance and attention, infinitly more than a cavalier. The good thing is, you can go a long way with modifications before you will ever think about nos.

nitrous will never touch this car, i am a mechanic so maintenance will not be a problem, I am wanting to change all the fluids, from what i've been reading syncromesh is good for the transmission and transfercase, wondering what i can use in the rear diff??

'Chel, you finally saw the light!!! Welcome to real performance hehehe  :)

If you bought an early 1g, the reliability and durability is a bit stronger, but yours isn't bad tho. Definately made of sterner stuff than the Jbody world. Good stuff.

Rear diff is gear oil.  Use Redline Shockproof synth or just regular redline, or even just good quality regular stuff.  75/W90.  If you want to use better oil than GM synchromesh oil in the tranny and tcase, use Redline MTL/MT-90 mix. Lots of guys use that.
