I'm assuming showing the difference between the Alpine sub he is selling(older ones) and the newer ones. As you can see the cone on the older ones is alot bigger. The more a sub moves, the more air it pushes, the louder the bass.

I had one of the subs he is selling, and it was louder than alot of guys' I know with 2 12" subs. If I was closer to Van, that Type-R would be in the back of my car! :)

Hey Drew, as soon as you get the 2 New style Type-R's in let me know how it is compared to the old style. I have heard that they are just as loud, then heard they are louder, and have heard that they are no where near as loud! :S

please don't tell me you're making a sealed fiberglass box for the subs? sealed boxes suck, go vented and type rs like 2-3 quibic feet per sub and they really start to shine when they get about 900w rms. Ive done my research trust me and you've heard my system ;)

ya it'll definitly be a ported box. after hearing just one Type R in a ported box then hearing the 2 Type R's in the sealed box there's no comparison. i just need to find someone who knows how to work with fiberglass. i'd like to do most of the work myself but i just need someone who know's how it all works to show me how to do it

Has anyone heard the difference between the new Type-R's, and old Type-R's?

what do you plan to fiberglass, you do realize the size of box you will need for two ported type rs? you're gonna need a box with at least 4-6 cubic feet, i don't think our trunks have enough room.

heres a great website for car audio, http://www.realmofexcursion.com

This is my box for a single type r, it fits perfectly in my trunk (fwd)
