Tuxedo Flippy- winter mod progress
« on: December 18, 2007, 12:43:20 am »
Just have a few things left to button up before the ol' girl is ready for spring. Taking my time during this cold weather. My propane shop heater can only do so much up here in redneck land(dont mind the dusty mess and loose wiring).....

Looking good, is that the FMH COP plate or a homemade job?

I need to make one or go back to stock coils.  The stupid tall block G4CS makes them rub the hood...

I do have the same cam gears and the same wicked ass clear cover!  Don't those look great in real life?

Thx guys.

I do like the cam cover John. I had to modify it to clear the AN fitting on the fuel rail though. Might have to take the car for a test run over the holidays.

Nope. Too damn cold here still. I'll touch up the body in spring.

Nice job Scott :)

I have the same WG and found it's very tight once the lower IC pipe goes on. Mind you, I also have A/C and two rad fans. Let us know how you work it out.

I've killed a couple puller style fans on the left side of the rad before so I dont plan on doing it again. My current fan setup is a FAL 12" puller on the right side and a FAL 12" pusher on the front left side of the rad.

I tore apart my throttle body elbow the other day in light of having a smoother bend transition. Just waiting on some stainless wire for my mig and I'll have the engine mods almost done.

I still have 2 more fuel pumps to put in, build an external sump, final welding on the roll cage and a few clean-up projects that I have to complete. Spring is just around the corner.

The new setup is up and running now. Just have to redo my throttle body elbow(major boost leak due to warped flange) and tap a boost source near the compressor.

As for the fans...I used a B&M oil cooler and mounted it on the drivers side of front end with -08 AN lines. Allowing me the room to fit a pusher style 12" fan on the front drivers side of the rad. There is still a 12" puller fan on the passenger side of the rad. Works great so far.
