I have asked all the Island members (via email) to come and contribute to this thread.

What we are looking for are ideas and possible dates for a meet, probably at the end of this month. Most of us have never met each other so this meet will be harder to plan than those that will hopefully follow, but I think if we all contribute and do so positively, we can start something here that will snowball into lots of fun for all.

Also if anyone wants to meet up sooner to sit down over coffee and discuss some ideas or just cruise. I have made the contact list quite public on the other thread so that we can all contact each other. If you find your info on that list to be incorrect or incomplete in any way please let me know.

Lets make this happen folks! 8)

P.S. You mainland guys are more than welcome to come to any meet we have and I'm sure we would all be gratefull for your effort and expense to do so and would show you a great time here on the rock. :D

i was just thinkin today at work

well i'm in for sure and i know some of the other guys will be two, we just gotta decide when and where
we could do a malaht drive or something along those lines....maybe somewhere up the island farther or somthing.

I think it would be cool to go on a drive somewhere but if its towards the end of the month I can offer up my house for a bbq or something to start it off I have a decent sized backyard (well kinda sideyard because my house is on the corner of the block) that can handle 20 people no problem

but if we go anywhere somebodies gotta drive me  :roll:

Hey Islanders thought i'd put in my two cents, i was thinking maybe a drive to Port Alberni, that is a nice winding road.  Maybe a drive up Mt. Washington, have some food and beverage at the top, and cruise back down, just a thought, anybody else have some ideas on this?

we have to go to an area that we can have fun driving in ...but also one where we can show off the cars....so we should mix up the drive

OK Don't make fun of me,...but I've been an island boy my whole life and never been to Mt. Washington. :oops: So yeah, that could be fun!

If that is the plan then, the next battle is when. I get only Mon, Thurs, Fri off currently but it is easy for me to get days off with a bit if notice. I took today off so I could go get blitzed last night. 8)

Before we settle though, are there other ideas. I would like to throw around some ideas while we're all attentive. That way we will have options for other meets to come.

Thanks for the good response so far though. I kind of expected it would be you guys that would be most active.

I can meet after september and I move back  8) until then I'm not bringing my car on the ferry for round trip fees of one hundred dollars!

I drove to tofino the other weekend in my girlfriends truck... thats a good road :)
