Couple pics I took of my "all nighter" last night...

Still lots to do but it's finally coming together. Just need to clean up the engine mounts, paint the valve cover , set the timing, prime the oil pump and then start putting the car back together. Hopefully the sleepless nights pay off.

Matt is kinda right. This one isn't stock....

The mod list for this build

-Block hot tanked, mic'd
-Ross 8.5:1 pistons (0.20")
-Manley H-beam rods
-crank resurfaced/block line bored
-ACL race series bearings
-rotating assembly static balanced
-CRCO dowel kit
-ARP mains, rod ends, head bolts
-modified OEM squirters (to clear the rods)
-balance shaft removal
-new OEM waterpump, front cover, oil pump/gears etc
-Cometic HP head gasket
-brand new G6 head
-Manley springs, Ti retainers, SS nitrated valves, HKS 280s,3G
         lifters,ported/polished bowls and exh runners,etc

Most of the other mods Im re-using from my old setup with the exception of replacing the 680s with some RC 1000cc injectors, the JMF intake manifold, adding an inline fuel pump(possibly a sumped -044), blah blah blah. Oh, and a competition engineering roll cage that's half installed right now.

Going to be breaking in the motor on a 14b and then going to install a FP3575 with a Tial 44mm.

My saucey new exhaust manifold just showed up today...no more extreme underhood temps from my old DNP setup....

I was very pleased with this manifold when it showed. Not only is it a quality piece but it also comes with good gaskets and OEM hardware. Not many vendors offer that.

Does a cast manifold make that much of a difference at retaining heat??

Did you consider ceramic coating and wrapping your DNP?

just seems like an odd "upgrade" to me.

Not to hack on the DNP manifold. I liked it but even wrapped my intake/underhood temps were definately higher.

I went cast because it does retain heat a lot better than a SS manifold. Its also is ceramic coated for added protection.  Plus the fact that this manifold flows extremely well and is the only cast manifold available with an equal length design as far as I know.
