The Birdie - New pics Up!
« on: April 21, 2007, 01:47:20 am »

Well...I've been a member for a few years now, and never posted pics of my ride. I guess I wanted it to be done when I posted them....but we all know that you're never done when you own a dsm. Here's a few from last year, my kit has been painted since, got the Z3 fenders on already, and still have to put on the front bumper and sides...I know that my car is just baby considering some of the monsters y'all have on here...but it is my baby! And it will never be done...FOO!

I have new rims now, those are 17" Enkei RF1's....I upgraded to 19" ADR SZ1's...but they won't be on until I replace my rotors and take it back to Frank to have another look at my tranny. It sucks because I really want them on, but I want alll this other BS out of the way before I do. Anyways...hope you guys like it.

Ryan

And here are the new pics:  8)

What was added:

Z3 Fenders
Drift Front End
Blitz High Sides
FD RX7 Factory Spoiler (I think I'm the first to ever do this) :)
19" ADR Rims

looks nice and clean! one peace of advice i have for you, and i had this done when they put my drifter kit on, get the shop to cut back the inside of the bumper to make room for a fmic. it will save u lots of time and hasle when it comes time to put on the fmic, then u wont have to worry about getting the bumper back to the shop a second time so they can cut it back for u. u will be VERY happy with how the drift kit looks! i love mine, but it is a bit low.

Lately, I've had no room really for any performance mods, just spending all the money in trying to keep it alive, but it's all good now. Yeah, I've already cut out the back of the bumper myself...so it should be ok for the fmic; but still...I was more worried about the rebar though, I don't want to take it off completely. I trimmed it with a jigsaw, so that the bumper will fit almost snug, and then trimmed the kit (sandblaster) to make more room.

Sorry to dissappoint you Matt, it'll have all shit on soon enough.
The springs are the eibach pro kit, with a 2 inch drop on front, and one inch on the back...did you guys notice my cf hood? can't even tell it's got one huh?   In the summer when the sun shines on the hood it loooks like it's made of gold...people drive by with their eyes like
HAHAHAHAHA....they probably think I'm so ghetto with a gold hood. There's some minor fender damage there, but I don't have those on anymore. My wife rear ended someone, and then some dumb girl changed lanes right into me on West Broadway. The tail lights look kinda fucked too don't you think? It's been like that since I got it in 2001. The guy that had it before me sprayed some kind of tint onto the tails, and it still won't come off. Tyried goo gone, turpentine...nothing works! So I've decided to just spray them with a coat of clearcoat, that should do the job!

Thanks for the replies guys.

I'm not disappointed in the car, I was just commenting on your trick to lure us into your thread with a title like that. A guy comes wandering in thinking he's gonna see pictures of something else
