I only do temporary insurance since insurance is ~300/month and I'm still in grade 12 and I pay for everything.  Plus I need time to load it into my backyard which is pain to do since I have to take off my front bumper.  So if it was on Saturday I can stay up late and park the car worries of being too tired for school :) .

Most people work monday. People can stay out later and eat and have a cold one cuz its looking like its gonna get hot by then.

If I didn't have to work on saturdy after the last meet, Im sure I would have talked a few guys into another rip around the same roads. if it was sunday people want to get sleep for work. On saturdays who cares how long were out
