Discount at NAPA
« on: May 29, 2003, 03:03:49 pm »
Hey guys,
I just found out that my company gets serious discounts from NAPA, so if you guys need anything bigger from there, let me know.  I won't mind doing it unless if it gets overwhelming :).  An example of a typical discount, according to my colleague, is that he got his brakes at NAPA for about 50% less than what he could find them for at Lordco.  The discount varies for different items...but in that case it was almost 50%.

So, if you have an item that you are serious about buying, just let me know and we'll see what the discount is.  You can pay them over the phone, they'll ship it to my plant, and you can pick it up from me.

Awesome, Kimyee!

As a side note - I've succeeded in getting "BC DSM" an account at Lordco, and the membership cards are on the way.  Approx 30% discount, etc etc.

I have yet to work out distribution, etc - but Jeff and I will be going over this once the cards arrive.

BC DSM - gettin the name out there!

I also get a 40% off at Napa, Lordco and Fortins.  Also 20% off at Satan.

I might be able to help out as well, but again, not if it gets crazy.

Heh, the power of many :).  Nice, I was looking for more discounts at Lordco.  They seem to be soooo flexible with their pricing if you know someone there...this tells me that if you pay retail, you're being gouged.

I also get pretty big discounts at Acklands Grainger...so if anyone needs a welder etc....

Yup, Lordco pricing is all over the place.  If you walk in off the street and someone's in a bad mood behind the counter you could pay twice what normal price is on something.  But if you have a buddy working there or something you can get like 50% off normal price... I had a couple friends working there but they've all since moved on to other stuff.

I am trying to work out a 30% club discount at Lordco. Right now I have applied for 20 cards but once I have a discount number we can just ask for more cards. I hope it works. :D
