My new (and hopefully final) daily driver
« on: December 16, 2005, 02:13:41 pm »
Since the red Talon is parked as a summer show/race car, and the recent write off of the spyder, I finally got to buy what I wanted as a daily driver.

It's a 1996 Chevrolet S10 5pd with full air ride suspension, 2 10 gallon air tanks, firestone compressor, 4 link rear, 17" centerline wheels, 4" body drop, fully re-done interior (dash, seats, doorpanels, headliner), etc etc.

Here some pics of it at driving height:

Rear end slammed:

Whole truck slammed (sits on the frame):

Future mods include an Envoy front end with billet grille, HID headlights (thanks to Meron), and titanium spark blocks.

Ahhhahaha, Jesus light. Perhaps it's the patron truck of saints.

That thing is really, really low. Looks good except for the front bumper, but after that new front end....bling!

What Kevin said.  Looks cool with the exception of "shoulda raised it for that curb" paint on the front bumper.   :P

Well, it's definitely not a penix extension ...

I 2nd the tail lights comment.

All in all, much better choice than a dsm or a big-ass 4x4 as a daily driver.

Toor, we gotta hotbox that fucker.

Yeah the front bumper definately need to be painted or replaced. If the Envoy thing gets too expensive I must just paint the bumper and get the phantom hideaway headlights billet grille for it.

As for the tails, he gave me the stock ones with the truck, they are all red but aren't really that nice. I might throw them on to see how they look in the summer, but for now the altezzas will do.

I was just looking for a small truck that is good on gas as a daily driver to work and back, and this was just that. Plus it looks sweet as hell so that's always a bonus ;)

As for hotboxing, get your ass over here! :pimp:

you will find that the 4.3 aint all that great on gas.  Better than your old black 4x4 but not great.

It's the 2.2L inline 4, I didn't want the 6 cylinder because I need this truck to be good on gas since it is my daily driver ($50 gives mes ~650km). The red talon is reserved as the fast car, this is the simple good on gas cool looking daily driver.
